House Resolution 128 (H. Res. 128), a resolution by the US Congress on respecting human rights and promoting inclusive governance in Ethiopia will be put on the House floor on April 9, 2018, according to Representative Mike Coffman, who made the announcement on twitter.
The move followed TPLF's refusal to allow UN rapporteurs access to investigate human rights violations in Ethiopia. Congress last month gave a February 28 deadline to the regime to show its willingness to allow investigators or face the resolution.
"I'm happy to announce that after months of hard work (by all involved) HRes128 is scheduled for a vote the week of April 9. The fight for respect of human rights & inclusive governance in Ethiopia continues..." says Coffman in a tweet.
